This last weekend I was invited on a weekend retreat with some of the older boys who receive intervention services from MCT/GMH (the organization I am partnering with and its partner organization locally). I can't show photos of the children, but here are some of the photos of the beautiful place we stayed.

This is the entrance to the Riad we stayed at for our weekend getaway. Riads are traditional Moroccan houses with open courtyards in the interior. The pictures above are of the pool and garden area that have been added on for guests' enjoyment.

Beautiful courtyard with trees, shrubs and flowers. The rooms we stayed in surrounded the courtyard.

Brothers of the same mother. Same color, same smell, same prickly patch ; )

GAMILA - a delicious way of cooking in Morocco. Get a butane tank and throw in the veggies, meat, and spices...yum!

Ancient fortress? I like to think so!

Another view of the courtyard.

No Riad is complete without pictures of the king or past kings (on the right and left are Mohamed the 5th and in the middle is his son Hassan 2nd, father of the current king Mohamed 6th.

Agriculture just next door to the Riad.
